You are looking at a brand new HOVER VAC automatic pool cleaner. METALLIC SILVER. Made by Fibropool Co. Works easy, it doesnt require the heavy vacuum power as the Zapvacs. Suitable for all pools, in ground, above ground, gunite, plaster, marcite, pebble tech, fiberglass, vinyl liner. Comes with 30' of hoses. It works off your pool filtration pump. No booster pumps or additional plumbing is necessary. It will work well with above and in ground pools. It really is a great unit and it costs less than the hoses for automatic pool cleaners. The basic principal is; as your pump draws water, it pulls the water through the head unit. this causes the unternal pulsator(the only moving part) to pulse back and forth. With the pulse, the cleaner propagates toards the hose, vacuuming the bottom of the pool. Unlike Polaris, Letro and other pressure side cleaners, this cleaner actually vacuums your pool. Even the fine silt and dirt is vacuumed into your filter. It takes about 10 minutes to install, very easy. The vacuum regulator saves you the hassle of adjusting the water flow, it is done automatically as your filter gets filled with debris. I have to note that there are 2 limitations with this unit (same goes for most suction side cleaners): 1. Very large leaf problem: if you encounter heavy leaf introduction into your pool or leaves the size of sycamore, magnolia etc. this unit will get stopped frequently. 2. Improperly installed ladders: If your ladder is installed against the ladder manufacturer's recommendation, occasionaly the cleaner will get stuck on the ladder. Having said this, over the years, we experienced the same limitations for Baracuda, Kreepy Krauly and Starite Shark To see if it is right for your pool, measure from your skimmer to the farthest point of your pool, add the depth at that point. If it is 30 feet or less, this cleaner will work fine.
